That poll started our blog friendship, as i recall the last question was a real tough one, lol. At the moment I am reading Strange Meeting by Susan Hill, such a fantastic author. I hope you are similarly ensconced in a good book yourself.
Susan Hill’s Strange Meeting – I will have to add that one to my list of books to read! I’m not familiar with her at all so am excited to discover someone new.
I just started My Name Is Red by Orhan Pamuk. So far I like it a lot (I read the Museum of Innocence by him and liked it). Will let you know if this one is good too!

I haven’t read any Orhan Pamuk either, so its nice to see we neatly dovetail our comments. I like that about us. I would read Peter Stothard’s review but I shall wait for yours instead as it will have more artistic merit.

Just took the survey. That was fun! Love that picture of Marilyn. Looks like she’s almost at the end of the book as well – but did she actually read it?!
I know, I just love that photo of Marilyn too! I remember reading somewhere that she loved books and reading, although this may be a posed photo, I don’t know.

Methinks that pic of Monroe reading Joyce is staged. She may have started Ulysses, but I doubt she made it to the end.
I agree, she probably posed for the photo! But she may have read the book at some point – she had a famous library collection. I love the photo regardless!
