This is so cool, isn’t it? Just heard about it on CNN this morning too. They say each book can provide a user with clean water for up to four years. Pretty amazing.
I didn’t know it was on CNN this morning- what a great coincidence! My father told me about it months ago and I only finally got around to writing about it today. Meant to be. Four years- that is so great!
Fareed Zakaria mentioned it on his CNN show this morning and then a short time later I saw it on your blog. I took that as a sign I should look more into it and spread the word. 🙂

That is amazing Letizia such a clever idea. It is sad to think many people do not have access to clean water. We sponsor two children, one in Africa and one in South America and I know through world vision number one priority is to educate and finance clean drinking water for each village. I would like to think something like this could be introduced everywhere.
It’s such a simple idea that I hope it does catch on and becomes implemented throughout the world. We often take clean water for granted.

According to water.org, 1 in 10 people lack access to safe water. The numbers are staggering. Twice the population of the U.S. Lives without access to safe water. “The Drinkable Book” reminds us that these statistics can change for the better. This is progress. Thank you for your compassion and commitment to seek solutions in a complex world.
When we look at the statistics, it is frightening indeed. Especially when we consider that we are talking about something so vital.
